VTEC's custom class is the combination of Microsoft courses #2261 and #2262 and is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot basic problems end users will face while running Microsoft Windows XP Professional in an Active Directory® network environment. In addition, this course will cover Windows XP Home edition in a workgroup environment; as well as, problems related to configuring and maintaining applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer and other applications that run on a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System. The goal of this course is designed to provide an overview of operating system concepts and how to troubleshoot Windows XP and applications running on Microsoft Windows XP and will prepare students for the MCDST Exam
Introduction to Computers in the Workplace
This one day course introduces students to the basic features of the XP operating system, as well as how to navigate around a computer.
Students will get oriented to the key Windows XP features, work with desktop properties, use online Help, create folders and files, and learn how to use an Internet browser.
