Professionally designed multi-page documents reflect a qualified, trustworthy business. Building on the prerequisite InDesign page layout basics, we will learn powerful and time saving tools for consistent looking multi-page documents. Many types of business documents will benefit from professional looking design: employee handbooks, catalogs of products, forms for client information and newsletters.
We will learn to apply Character, Paragraph and Object "Styles" to speed up page layout, including skillful text and paragraph formatting. We will automate the look of image frames, including consistent borders and drop shadows. Also covered are incorporating formatted Word docs into InDesing, Master Pages, auto page numbers, combining documents into a full length "Book" with consistent Styles and page numbers applied throughout, and output for interactive PDF files, Web pages and offset printing.
This course is intended for students who want to expand their entry-level knowledge of Adobe InDesign by using advanced features and collaboration tools.
CS3 and CS4, PC and Mac users are encouraged to attend this course.
